REPORT - Women's Vault Finial
China's He Chuchu performed the very difficult vaults; double twisting Tsukahara for the first vault, and front handspring rudi out (Chusovitina) for the second. The landings were not good (big step backward) and the execution had still much room to improve (with big leg separation) but the difficulty was high enough to win a gold. China celebrated the second gold for tonight following the men's floor.
Taniguchi of Japan, the all-around champion, stuck both of the landings. She did double twisting Yurchenko and full twisting Yurchenko and each execution was the best of all. Korea's SUNG Ji Hye did also double twisting Yurchenko and brought her a bronze.
